A Letter From Our CEO
Every parent knows how quickly an ordinary day can change when a child is not feeling well. In those moments, families need clear answers, timely support, and access to care they can trust. That reality was a driving force behind the creation of My Pediatric Doctor. I wanted to build a platform that would make pediatric care more accessible, more responsive, and better aligned with the needs of modern families.
My Pediatric Doctor was created with a simple but important purpose: to help children by making it easier for parents to access expert pediatric support for acute urgent care needs. We built the platform to give families a dependable option when they need guidance from a qualified provider, without the long delays and inconvenience that often come with a traditional clinic or waiting room. Whether a parent is concerned about a rash, cough, sore throat, congestion, or another illness, our goal is to make it easier to get the care you need and make informed decisions with confidence.
Access has remained one of our core priorities from the very beginning. Across the country, families face different barriers to care. In urban areas, the challenge is often overcrowded emergency departments, long wait times, and difficulty getting a timely appointment. In rural communities, the issue may be geographic distance, limited pediatric resources, or fewer options for specialty care. We believe telehealth and pediatric telemedicine can help close those gaps and bring quality care to families in both settings.
What we are building goes beyond convenience. My Pediatric Doctor is designed to be a valuable and cost-efficient healthcare solution through thoughtful virtual care and on-demand support. When families are able to connect with a provider early through a telehealth visit, patient outcomes can improve and unnecessary costs across the system can come down. In many cases, telehealth allows families to address health concerns sooner, with less disruption to work, school, and daily life.
An important part of our long-term strategy is forming partnerships with hospital networks, health systems, healthcare payers, self-insured businesses, and physician groups. These relationships are central to the long-term value of the platform. By working alongside existing organizations, we can help families access telehealth services in a way that supports better coordination, stronger services for patients, and a more connected model of care delivery.
For physician groups in particular, My Pediatric Doctor can serve as a seamless after-hours extension of their local practices. That means families can still connect with a trusted health care provider at any time of day, including 2:00 AM, without placing added strain on local clinical teams. An on-demand visit or telemedicine visit can help families know whether symptoms can be managed at home, whether medication or a prescription may be needed, or whether an in-person visit is needed for further evaluation or treatment.
This model also creates meaningful opportunities for rural communities and underserved families. In places where access to a pediatrician may be limited, telehealth visits allow parents to connect with expert support from the comfort of home. That matters for common but stressful concerns like vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, flu, infection, allergy symptoms, and minor illnesses or injuries. It also gives families support when questions come up ahead of time, during a follow up, or when they are deciding what to do next.
The launch of MyPediatricDoctor.com is only the beginning. We are building with a long-term vision to become the nation’s best telehealth platform for treating kids and helping families navigate their children’s health needs with confidence. That means continuing to improve access, strengthen partnerships, and expand safe and secure virtual support for families who need answers, whether through video visits, a virtual visit, or other pediatric telemedicine services. I believe the future of pediatric care will be more connected, more convenient, and more focused on meeting families where they are.
